Despite a huge demand for medications and disinfectants, Bosnalijek managed to ensure notable quantities of its products to be donated to various institutions dealing with protection of children and youth, as well as humanitarian organisations.
Over the last couple of days, we made donations of medicines to SOS Kinderdorf Sarajevo, PI Home for Children Without Parental Care Bjelave, PI Home "Rada Vranješević” Banja Luka, Institution for the Care of Mentally Disabled Children and Youth Pazarić, humanitarian organisation Merhamet and elementary school "Srednje". We contemporaneously donated 12 tablets to this elementary school so as to ensure that all pupils of this school have a possibility for attending on-line classes.
Mr. Nedim Uzunović, the Chief Executive Officer in Bosnalijek, emphasises that we are totally aware of increasing needs for medicines during this period, but also an urgency to make available certain resources the primary goal of which is prevention and protection of health.
Mr. Uzunović emphasised: "We initiated donations of our products to institutions caring for the most vulnerable children, and humanitarian organisations that supply these products to the neediest persons. Under these tough circumstances, our diligent personnel work continuously and for the time being we ensured a secure supply of all our products to the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly those medications which may be considered essential in this crisis. We use our best endeavours to offer our support to everyone, according to our possibilities, and we intend to continue doing the same”.
Since the very beginning of COVID-19 pandemic, Bosnalijek has been continuously donating medicines and protective equipment to the healthcare institutions throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. Up to this moment, the donations were given to clinical centres, hospitals and health centres across all Bosnia and Herzegovina. This kind of actions will be continued in future.
