Bosnalijek Donates 32, 000 BAM to a family from the SOS Children’s Village

The best friend for 12 years covers the costs of one SOS family. Nedim Uzunović, acting Manager of Bosnalijek, and Siniša Baljo, Programme Development Manager of SOS Children’s Villages of Bosnia and Herzegovina, signed a Donation Agreement at the SOS Children’s Village Sarajevo worth a total value of 32,000 BAM.

This valuable donation covers the annual cost of food, hygiene products, clothes, footwear and school supplies of one SOS family. Bosnalijek has been committed to supporting the work of the SOS Children’s Villages of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 12 years in a row, which makes it one of the most faithful and best friends of this organisation.

The Programme Development Manager of SOS Children’s Villages of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Siniša Baljo, stated, “Bosnalijek’s exceptional commitment and true friendship with SOS Children’s Villages of Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of the most beautiful examples of our partnership with corporate donors. It is particularly important to mention that in its twelve years of supporting the SOS family of mother Fikreta Bosnalijek has truly made an impact on changes in society and provided the means for fourteen girls and boys without parental care to grow up in a family model of care with the best conditions for education, development and growth. Some of them are already successful young independent people.”

Mr Baljo stressed, “Bonds of friendship created by Bosnalijek’s employees with the children, their care for the well-being of the children and their continuous support surely makes them the best and most valuable friend of our organisation.”

The acting Manager of Bosnalijek, Nedim Uzunović, said, “We are very proud and happy to be a part of the SOS Children’s Villages community. Our lasting commitment is to support the organisation that selflessly strives to provide a warm home for each child, love, respect, safety and family to boys and girls whose childhood did not begin carefree. Investment in the healthy and carefree lives of our children is also an investment in the development of our society.”

In addition to regular annual donations, Bosnalijek provides scholarships for the children from the SOS family as well as future training for these young people at the company. The company’s employees celebrate the birthdays of the children from the SOS family they support.
